Healing waters. The richness and variety of mineral waters in the Tușnad area are unique. In addition to mineral springs for consumption, there are a high number of therapeutic mineral springs that made the area renowned through their healing qualities.
Little Switzerland
As a result of the renown of the mineral, mesothermal springs, and carbon dioxide mofettes, the number of visitors to the area increased. In 1842, a spa resort was founded at the southern end of the Ciuc Depression, between the Harghita and Bodoc Mountains. During the revolution of 1849, the resort was destroyed by locals unhappy that the right to freely use the mineral waters had been canceled, and it was rebuilt starting in 1852. The name Băile Tușnad appeared in 1861.
MOUNTAIN PURITY
Surrounded by mountain masses and forests, the new resort will soon be nicknamed "Little Switzerland" for its mountain landscapes, subalpine climate, strongly ozonated air rich in aerosols and negative ions, and, of course, its wealth of natural mineral water springs.
PRESENT

In every bottle of Tușnad or Artesia natural mineral water, the water preserves its entire natural purity and mineral vitality untouched, as it is created in the volcanic heart of the mountain. Due to the uniqueness of the soil and the natural way in which nature manifests its healing role, an impressive number of therapeutic natural mineral water springs have succeeded in bringing much renown to the area.
